Week of December 11

Dear Parents –

Last week was such an amazing week with all the special events.  We have so much to be proud of and the students have done an amazing job showcasing their talents and skills through the Holiday Concert, Learning Celebration and our Swim Carnival.  Congratulations to all the students on a very successful semester. 

Here’s a peek at our week ahead:

Monday – No School

Tuesday (Day 1) Art and World Language

Wednesday (Day 2) Field Trip to Royal Selangor Pewter Factory

Thursday (Day 3) World Language

Friday (Day 4) Art and P.E.

Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to chaperone our field trip on Wednesday.  This is always a wonderful trip and we look forward to sharing the experience with you.  We plan to have students eat snack at school before leaving for our field trip.  Please send a snack from home that your child can eat in our classroom/common area. 

This week will be a short week with a lot of engaging learning opportunities that the Grade 2 team has planned for the students.  Students will be introduced to the design thinking process as they try to solve different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Challenges.  We’ll looking for recyclable materials for these projects, so please send some in by Thursday if you have any at home.  We’ll end our week with a short celebration to wrap up our semester. 

If I don’t get to see you before Friday, please have a wonderful holiday break and enjoy the time with friends and family.  Safe travels for those venturing outside of KL.
