We had a great first week of school and are looking forward to a new week of learning and getting to know our classroom community.

Monday (Day 5) - Library and World Language
Tuesday (Day 6) - Music and PE
Wednesday (Day 1) - Art and World Language
Thursday (Day 2) - Music and PE
Friday (Day 3) - World Language
Math Workshop
Our focus in math this week will be to learn more about the expectations in our math workshop. Students will begin solving simple story problems using multiple strategies to show their thinking. We will practice explaining our thinking through words, pictures, and numbers. In addition, we will continue to explore our math tools.
Reader's & Writer's Workshop
This week we will look at the habits of readers and writers. Students will have an opportunity to practice selecting Just Right Books that are appropriate for their individual reading level. In our Writer's Workshop students will be introduced to the writing process and select a topic of interest to write about. We also have a baseline assessment in writing planned for this week.
